How it works in the Spirit Realm and Why Stay Away from it?
Archaeologist warns against Astrology
In these days there is resurgence of the use of astrology and horoscopes among many young people. Most don’t know that it is an ancient practice based on the occult and has many dangers. Biblical archaeologist Jennifer Guetta warns against the use of horoscopes and astrology. She says it opens doors to evil spirits and gives the darkness permissions to control and manipulate you.
Astrology is an ancient practice and belief that states that certain stars and celestial positions have information over your personality and future. In general, humans are divided into twelve groups and several subgroups, based on the day and time that you are born and it coordinates these times with the stars and calendar. Horoscopes and the zodiac come out of astrology. They assess your personality and predict what will happen to you in the future. Some think that astrology is scientific and academic but actually it combines astronomy with spiritual elements and is extremely dangerous. The alluring mystical aspect of astrology is that it seems very accurate. Why is that?
Where did Astrology come from?
Astrology comes from the ancient Sumerians, Babylonians and Assyrians. Archaeologists have traced its roots to 19th–17th century BCE Mesopotamia and earlier. From there it spread to Ancient Greece, Rome, the Islamic world, and eventually Central and Western Europe. Cuneiform tablets have been excavated depicting horoscope charts dating from the 5th Century BC and earlier. Originally astrology was closely connected with the gods and goddesses of ancient Mesopotamia and the zodiac still carries many of their names. Each sign is attached to a foreign god and humans are connected with the sign based on their time and date of birth.
In the spirit realm we know that evil spirits are demons and they are very real. In deliverance ministry we see that demons do not die but move from one place or generation to the other. They are still alive today and have memories throughout time, even back to Babylon. The “gods and goddesses of ancient Mesopotamia” were not real gods, but instead demons who were being worshipped by the Babylonians, Assyrians and Sumerians.
How does Astrology work in the Spirit realm?
Demons love astrology because when a human attaches itself to a sign, it makes a soul tie to the demons associated with it and they can then control and influence the person. A soul tie is a spiritual connection that is made between humans and a spiritual entity, made by “giving permission”. When we “agree” and connect ourselves with a zodiac, a number or personality type, we are making a soul tie with the demons associated with that number. That means that the demons then have permission to influence you and your future. In astrology humans make a soul tie with a zodiac sign by agreeing that they are, for example, a “Leo” or a “Taures”. These zodiacs are related to the “gods and goddesses” of ancient Babylonia, the demons, and therefore give the demons associated with them permission to stay inside the person and form the persons character. Astrology seems very real because once we have connected with a zodiac type, the demons become part of our life and our identity.
Soul Ties and Personality Types: Why do they all Seem Right?
Throughout the world there are many different kinds of number and personality systems that demons use to make soul ties with humans. For example, the Enneagram works in the same way, but has 9 numbers and personalities. Kabbalah also works this way, but it has 10 spiritual spheres. There are many more types or systems to assess your behavior, spiritual growth and future. Each of these systems connects the soul to a type or number and therefore those demons have permission to influence you.
People involved in the occult and witches love all these number systems. Why? Because they can manipulate people through them. In 2012 I had an experience with a witch (see my book Awestruck by Glory) and the one of the first things she asked me was: “When is your birthday?” By giving the date, she then connected it to a type and number. It didn’t really matter to her what kind of system it was, as long as I “agreed” that there was a connection. She used all different kinds of systems to influence masses of people!
Let me ask you something:

all seem right because of the soul ties they create with evil spirits.
The Reality in the Spirit Realm
Your personality and future has nothing to do with your birthday! When we connect our souls with a horoscope, the enneagram or kabbalah we allow ourselves to be manipulated by evil spirits. You are not a Taurres. You are not a Leo. You are not a number 1 or 8! You are not a Sephirot!
According to the Bible God did not create us from the stars, but from the earth. We are made of clay, and God formed us (Isaiah 64:8) and we are his worksmanship (Ephesians 2:10). God created us in His image (Gen. 1:27) and He knew us before we were formed in our mothers womb (Jeremiah 1:4-5). You are a child of God created unique in every way.
Psalms 139:13-14 says: “You alone created my inner being. You knitted me together inside my mother.”
Paul says that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We were created to carry the Holy Spirit and He transforms us. When we make a soul tie to a zodiac, number or personality it stops the flow of the Holy Spirit, because we allow the demons associated with that sign to stay. However, when we are filled with the Holy Spirit, God transforms us and He can actually change our personality. Instead of being dominant we can become humble and loving. When we go through deliverance and demons start to flee, our personality can change! Anger leaves us; control leaves us. When demons leave, we change and the Holy Spirit transforms us into the likeness of Jesus from Glory to Glory.
You are not a zodiac type. You are not a number or a personality type. You are a child of God.
What does the Bible say?
In the Bible we are supposed to find our identity and future in God. The Bible says that your personality and future should not be determined by demons, but instead by God (Isaiah 46:9-10). God also said, that we should have no other gods before Him (Exodus 20:3). Making soul ties with demonic systems connects us with other gods and we should stay away from it.
In the Bible, the Hebrew word for astrology “mazalot” means “divining the heavens’ and is the same as divination. Divination is the act of foretelling future events, or of revealing secret knowledge, by means of signs and omens or other supernatural agency.
Leviticus 19:26 says “Do not practice divination or sorcery.”
Deuteronomy 18:9-11: “There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.”
There are many stories in the Bible of God confronting the astrologers. The prophets scoffed at “star-gazers”. For example:
“Let your astrologers come forward, those stargazers who make predictions month by month, let them save you from what is coming upon you. Surely they are like stubble; the fire will burn them up. They cannot even save themselves from the flame… Each of them goes on in his error; there is not one that can save you.” Isaiah 47:13-15
King Saul sought information about the future through the witch of Ein Dor and gets punished for it (1 Chron. 10-13-14). In Daniel the king cannot find truth about his dreams through astrologers. This shows that using constellations to find answers about your identity and predict your future is a contradiction to the Bible.
It is clear that God abhors divination and astrology and compares it to the sin of witchcraft. He warns us to stay away from it. Not to judge us. Not to keep secrets from us or to make us feel guilty. He says this because He loves us and wants to protect us. He knows that there is an enemy, and that demons are real and they are manipulating people through soul ties to numbers and personality systems. He knows astrology gives permissions to the devil to manipulate and influence humans.
There are some people who say that parts of astrology are okay and parts are not. They claim it doesn’t matter if we do horoscopes, as long as we don’t get too involved. However, in the spirit realm it does not work that way. A permission is a permission and every agreement counts. Therefore we should not rely on the stars to find out answers about who we are but instead rely on God.
How to break the soul ties with the Zodiac/ Astrology
If you have made soul ties with a zodiac sign, or another number or a personality system, it is important to break this connection. God wants to set you free and mold you through the power of His Holy Spirit so you can have a relationship with Him. However, the price for breaking the soul ties with the enemy, which is sin, is death (Romans 6:23). Thankfully, God gave His Son Jesus to pay the price for your sins with His life. When Jesus died on the cross He paid the price for your sin and His blood can set you free. All you have to do is confess your sins, and make Jesus your Savior. When we do that, we can break all the permissions with the enemy in His Name. Real freedom can only be found through Jesus because He is the only one who paid the price for you.

“Lord God, by the blood of Jesus, I ask you to forgive me for connecting my soul to ….. (a zodiac, number or personality. Name them specifically). In the name of Jesus, I break these permissions and call upon the blood of Jesus, who paid for my sins. Therefore any spirits connected with these numbers must leave now. Thank you Lord for setting me free!”
