There are many people all over the world experiencing voices in their head, visions outside their bodies or in dreams. The voices call themselves spirit guides or teachers and say they are there to teach the humans about good things in life, give them success in something, or give them some supernatural power. Some people follow these so called “spirit guides” without questioning where they come from, or believing that they good. However, when they want to get rid of them, their lives become very difficult. There is only one solution!
How does it begin?
Somewhere in their life, the person has allowed these spirits to enter their body and have accepted them as their guides. They believed the spirit guides were good and that they want to help them in life. In some cases the spirits actually ask for permission, and when the person agrees goes into their body, and influences them, speaking to them in their head through their thoughts and dreams. These thoughts are not the thoughts of the person but of the spirit.
This happens in all different cultures, among Indians, Europeans, Chinese, African, and among people involved in New Age and fortune tellers, etc. In most cases the spirit portrays itself as a good helper for the human. They are expert deceivers and can take the form of people we like, impersonate the dead, make a human being believe they are communicating with a loved one, or someone else who is deceased. Or they will simply offer us something we cannot resist. When the human agrees, the spirit comes to live with them and the person can no longer get rid of it.
How can we know they are not good?
The moment that the human being wants to stop listening to their spirit guides, the spirits change and become mean and show their true face. They will not leave on their own. If the person wants to get rid of the spirits, then they can also turn against him. Communication with these evil spirits is very dangerous, because they will not leave. There are many stories of people who have gone crazy from their spirit guides, or from witchcraft involving communication with the dead.
How do we know they are demons?
We know that they are actually demons because they manifest and react when they hear the name of Jesus. As soon as we speak about the blood of Jesus the spirits guides act up and change into their true self. Spirit guides are nothing more than demons who are speaking to people and holding them hostage. The only way to cast them out is through the name of Jesus.
Why can we break their permission by the blood of Jesus?
In the spirit realm the human gave permission to the “spirit guide” to teach him. The demon sees this permission as his legal right to stay. Therefore the permission needs to be broken. In the spirit realm death is the price of the permission, and there is no way for a human to break it himself. This is why God sent his Son Jesus to die on the cross, and pay with his own blood for our freedom. Jesus literally took our place and all our permissions were nailed to the cross. He died, and rose from the dead and has given us life. So therefore demons must leave in the name of Jesus.
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Collosians 2:14, 15
What to do if you want to get rid of a spirit guide?
All prayers should be spoken out loud
- Call on Jesus for help with all your heart.
- Ask Jesus to be your savior and believe that he died for you and paid for your sins and rose from the dead.
- Ask Jesus to forgive your sins and be the Lord of your life.
- Go back and recall when you gave the permission to the spirit guide. Ask God to forgive you for giving that permission. Break the permission out loud by the blood of Jesus. If you cannot recall the exact place, then name the demon and claim the blood of Jesus over the permission that was given. Note, the demon might react by making you feeling something strange in your body. But don’t let it stop you!
- Command the demon to leave by the blood of Jesus and not to return.
- Ask Jesus for the Holy Spirit and let him come and dwell in your heart.
- Be persistent and continue.

An example story:
I once met a young man in a restaurant. He came over and talked to me and I felt led to tell her my testimony. He told me that a spirit had come to him during his teenage years and asked permission to enter. Not knowing, the danger, he had allowed it in. It took control of him and he lived with a second being in his body. This went very well, until one day he wanted to stop it, and told the spirit to leave. It refused to leave and said it had permission to be there. from there on, his life went down hill and he had many psychotic episodes. Other people thought he had Schizophrenia but he knew where it came from. He was in bondage to this spirit. I told him about how we were freed from demons, and that Jesus paid the price for his permission with his own blood. There is only one way to break the permission of these so called “spirit guides”- demons… and that is by calling on Jesus. They have to leave in his name.
